Let’s have a conversation

How much time do you spend thinking about money?  A lot, right?

How much do you actually talk about it?  Much less?  Why?  Because we haven’t been taught how, that’s why.

You may be wondering why being able to talk about money is important.  After all, you’re more concerned with how to earn it, hang on to it, and invest it.  You want it to work hard for you, so someday you won’t have to.  All that is important, true.  And learning to talk more effectively about money will help you get the most out of yours.

So, let’s talk about money. Why is it important? How much is enough? What has to happen in your life for you to put your head on the pillow every night and sleep soundly, confident that you and your family are in good financial shape?

These are the questions that really get my blood pumping. And to engage in conversations around them with a group is particularly exciting. There is power in a community of people engaging in open and honest discussion about money. There is comfort in knowing that you’re not alone, that other intelligent hard-working people just like you share some of the same frustrations and fears around money.

And what about the practical aspects of managing your financial life?  Are you maximizing your workplace benefits? Are you saving enough for your goals?  What college or retirement savings vehicle is best for you?  How much house can you afford, and what mortgage is right for you?

If you belong to a group that would appreciate these conversations, then by all means, contact me. If you’ve got something particular in mind you’d like to talk about, let me know. If not, tell me what you’re thinking and let’s come up with a topic that will engage your audience, educate them, light them up, get them moving.
